Playing a four-ball match is very simple: Four ball is based on the lowest net score per hole in the group. There are two teams of two, and each player plays their own ball. After each hole, each teams’ players compare their scores, and the lowest score is counted as the team score. Each player in the group plays at the low end of their handicap range. The lowest handicapper in the group plays at zero giving away the difference in strokes to each of the other group members. You get your strokes on the corresponding course handicap holes. Your team wins the hole if either of the team member's net score is lower than both of their opponents. There are no carryovers.
